I have always been fascinated by the Star Trek: Voyager episode, The 37s. This is where they initially find a 1936 Ford pickup truck floating in space. The series ended prematurely, I had a problem with that so I fixed it by writing the next episode that spans many years in the life of the colony. Marriage, birth, death, friends become enemies and enemies become friends.
