I have always been fascinated by the Star Trek: Voyager episode, The 37s. This is where they initially find a 1936 Ford pickup truck floating in space. The gas and the rust create breadcrumbs to the planet, where they find a propeller airplane emitting an S-O-S. They figure out where it came from and find people in a cold sleep, suspended animation. One of them is Amelia Earhart. We all know Voyager made it home with the assistance of a time traveling Admiral Janeway, but the development of the Quantum Slipstream drive took a few more decades. Now that it is installed in the USS Voyager-A, Admiral Janeway takes it back where her adventure began, the Alpha quadrant. Along the way she meets up with the Kazon, and stops to visit with Nelix and the Talaxian colony. But ultimately, her goal is to make it to that planet, the planet with her friend, Amelia Earhart. Join the crew of Voyager-A, old and new, on this journey into their history, their journey into their future.
The life of a planetary bus driver can be mundane, repetitious, sedate, and of course unique, interesting, exciting and spontaneous. Driving your whale around the planet picking people up and dropping them off is a lot of fun, sure. But at the same time, it is good to get a break in the monotonous time you call your day. So, when Walt was asked to take a charter trip for a few days, he jumped all over it, and knowing he had a good friend to ride shotgun, he felt like it would be a good thing for him and Biff. Plus, you get double pay and less work time so he could be home more after the trip was over. No could ever imagine what was about to happen, Walt met up with new powerful people and they became friends. He did mention the time he saved the lives of everyone on the bus.

The series ended prematurely, I had a problem with that so I fixed it by writing the next episode that spans many years in the life of the colony. Marriage, birth, death, friends become enemies and enemies become friends.
Book 3 of the 7-Part Series. In several places on the Earth, the orbital facilities, the Lunar Colonies, and the far-reaching corners of the human-populated universe, Christianity is beginning to grow and spread. The world government is concerned it may overshadow their power, or their ability to lead the people into their vision of what the future needs to look like. Benjamin is tasked to determine the threat level of this new group and he and his team of one is sent back to a place where the movement begins. Is this movement mind-altering or simple brainwashing? Do Christians want to control everything? Is there a reason to fear Christians or all religions in general? This is what he is tasked to learn, and fix, if necessary. On the way, he discovers a unique reality and brings that information back to his boss at Archive Island, in the form of a very interesting, honest, and convincing report. Enveloped within this decision are his new wife and his best friend throughout all of the time. Come and be with him as he explores his heart and his mind. The scientist needs to understand the definition of faith, and faith can be elusive.

Book 2 of the 7-Part Series. Benjamin Jensen's best friend in all of time, Brad Jorgen, returns from a long-term research project with important news. Someone is traveling in time disrupting the time stream. Benjamin and Brad are tasked to repair and ensure it does not happen again. Afterward, the Archive Academy requests that the two of them teach a course in how to be inconspicuous when performing research, and how to improvise when things do not go as planned. The class is a hit, but there are a lot of bumps during the learning process. Including a covert trip to Pluto to reclaim a ship, they left on the once and former planet several thousands of years earlier, one they will need to use to revive a civilization that has been dead and forgotten to the passage of time for several millennia.

This is designed to aid a new backpacker in creating a tasty menu on the trail. Foods should require no refrigeration, their weight needs to be minimal, and they should bring big flavor. This book is more of a guide for the new backpacker, it is not a recipe collection because we all eat different, like different things, and our budgets span a rather large range. Personal cooking, is, well, personal. There are things you can eat every day that others may not want once. But personal cooking in the woods, on a trail for a week, needs to be nutritious, tasty, unique, and easy. It also needs to have minimal cleanup. So, hike the trail with me to learn the skill - or formula - of personal backcountry cooking, and discover the creativity within yourself to be a five-star trail chef, at least in your own mind.
